DROITWICH SPA MP, PETER LUFF, TO SEE CYCLE SAFETY FOR HIMSELF – FROM THE SADDLE
News Story

As part of the London Times newspaper’s campaign Cities fit for cycling, Mr Luff has accepted an invitation from a Droitwich Spa cyclist to accompany him on a cycle ride round the centre of town so that he can see for himself the hazards faced by cyclists.

The invitation came from regular Spa cyclist, ex college principal, David Terry. Mr Terry said ‘I am delighted that Mr Luff has agreed to back this campaign to make our towns and cities safer for cyclists, and especially that he has agreed to accompany me on a ride round my own town. Given the enormously demanding and important job he has as Minister responsible for ordering and securing the delivery of equipment for our armed services, I am impressed that he should have agreed to find time in his schedule to do this’

The ride is scheduled to take place this Friday, March 9, starting from 24 Alexander Avenue at 12 noon and passing through Droitwich Town Centre at about 1220. It will conclude at the bottom of Corbett Avenue at about 1230. The Press are invited to cover the event. Mr Luff expects to have time to make some comments at the conclusion of the ride.
