Local MPs visit Roxel UK

On 4th April 2014 three local MPís visited Roxel UK at Summerfield (near Kidderminster)
Minister of Defence Equipment Support and Technology, Philip Dunne MP, representing Ludlow; Sir Peter Luff, MP, mid Worcestershire & Mark Garnier, MP, Wyre Forest all have significant interest in Roxel UKís role as a supplier to the UK Ministry of Defence and as a major local employer.

The MPís were received by Roxel Groupís CEO Mr Jacques Desclaux & Roxel UKís Managing Director Mark Hardman. The visit included a tour of manufacturing and research facilities plus an update on key project progress and Roxelís key technologies.

Minister for Defence Equipment, Support and Technology Philip Dunne MP said:
ďI was delighted to join Sir Peter Luff MP and Mark Garnier MP to see the important work being done by Roxel in Kidderminster to support the MOD. A European leader in tactical propulsion, the company is involved in Rapier and Sea Skua missiles, used by the RAF and Royal Navy. I was pleased to meet some of the highly skilled technicians whose work is helping to protect our Armed Forces. Part of Roxel's Test and Evaluation facilities are in the Wyre Forest on the edge of my constituency.Ē

Roxel UKís Managing Director, Mark Hardman said:
ďAs MoD is the main customer for Roxel UK it was particularly satisfying to have the opportunity to host all three local MPís including the current and previous Min DEST. The visit provided a great opportunity to demonstrate the work ongoing at Summerfield in support of MoDís key programmes Brimstone & CAMM. We were delighted by the recent announcement from MoD & DGA to launch the FASGW(H)/ANL programmes which together with MBDA we had commenced in advance of contract announcement. These projects reinforce Roxelís role as the leading European propulsion companyĒ
